Idemo ("Idemo", "we", "us", "our") is a mobile app for learning the Bosnian language. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and the rights and choices you have. By using Idemo you agree to this policy.
The controller responsible for your personal information is AJ Digital Services LLC (Florida, United States). For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@ajdigitalservices.ai.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase). You can also use the app as a guest (an anonymous account is created automatically so your progress can be saved); a guest account has no email or personal identifier.
Learning data. To run the course and remember your progress, we store data tied to your account, such as: modules completed, lesson and review attempts, spaced-repetition review state, and your chosen interface language. This is used only to operate the app for you.
Purchase information. If you subscribe, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google (and our subscription manager, RevenueCat). We receive a record that you have an active subscription. We never receive or store your card or payment details.
Device and technical data. Standard information needed to run a mobile app, such as app version and basic error/diagnostic information, plus data stored locally on your device (your session, language preference, and sound setting). Idemo uses local device storage, not web browser cookies.
We do NOT collect: precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or advertising identifiers. Idemo contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not collect "sensitive personal information" as defined under California law.
Over the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from you and from your device:

We do not sell or share these categories, and we do not use them for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information under the following legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR):
Spoken audio for lessons is generated by ElevenLabs from the app's own curriculum text (the Bosnian phrases in the course). The text sent for audio generation is course content, not your personal information. Generated audio is cached so it is not re-generated on every use.
We share data only with providers that help us operate the app, under their own terms and security:

You can delete your account and all associated learning data at any time, in two ways:
When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our systems and instruct our processors to do the same. We may retain a limited amount of information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or to comply with a legal obligation, and only for as long as needed for that purpose.
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account exists, so we can provide the service and remember your progress. When you delete your account (see above), we delete that data, subject to the limited exceptions described there.
EEA / UK (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
California (CCPA / CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; to request deletion or correction of your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it); to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it); and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, use in-app account deletion or contact support@ajdigitalservices.ai. We will verify your request against your account and respond as required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.
Idemo is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and row-level database access controls so users can only access their own data). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
